Wishes deserve to be guarded and protected until they can be materialized and turned into reality, and so William Zanotto gives a name and a shape to the container of our dreams: Eva, the apple of desire. EVA is an original moneybox, a novel piece of furniture created for design lovers as well as a trendy object with a minimal style.
By innovating techniques previously applied to furniture and automotive production, it was possible to apply the velvet finish to the ceramic of EVA's apples, achieving a velvety effect that covers the entire surface of the apple. EVA's experiential design becomes multisensory and makes it impossible not to caress the wish box.
Technical description
Single-color apple-shaped piggy bank with velvety ceramic finish.
The special texture of the apple's surface is achieved through a manufacturing process adapted for the first time to ceramic processing. There are two holes on the product: one for the entrance of coins on the top and one for the extraction of the contents on the base. Each piece is signed by the designer and produced entirely in Italy. The pieces are repeatable and mass-producible.
Packaging
Tin bin and lid with steel ferrule filled with polyurethane foam in turn placed in a cardboard box.
Product care
Do not use chemical agents or harsh products to clean the object; the finish and/or artwork on the object may be compromised. Instead, it is preferable to use a simple wet microfiber cloth.
Indoor Use. Exposure to outdoor weather may alter the shape and finish of the product.
Do not expose to direct sunlight for extended periods of time, the finish may fade over time.
Not suitable for holding liquids.
Do not lift the product by holding it solely by the petiole; it may fall off.
Any impact suffered by the ceramic object could lead to its complete or partial damage.
These are hand-created objects with a high artistic content: they may slightly differ from each other in shape, size, and aesthetic characteristics: any small dissimilarity is to be considered as evidence that production is done in a completely artisanal way for each piece.
